A work in progress

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! I am attempting to beat the time change today by being up early and making use of the extra hour. Hopefully it will keep me in my usual rhythm. Sleep has been short most of the week with watching the World Series. Not the outcome I was cheering for so hard-core disappointment last night. First time in a number of years that I've been that invested in the World Series.

What did we do this week? Serra had a good one with hanging with friends, taking a couple of exams, registering for next semester and having a productive day at work. She went trick-or-treating on campus for Halloween and took Saturday for herself. Today will be spent doing homework for the week as she does most Sundays. Next semester's class load is a little lighter with going on the Sophomore Expedition for spring break.

Amanda has spent the week living and dying by the Blue Jays and cursing the Dodgers. I agree with her. She had an interview Monday that went well and reconnected with a previous interview. Thank goodness she did as the hiring manager had texted the wrong number! They had a call Friday morning, and fingers are crossed for a virtual interview this week.

The week was a busy one for me with catching up work from being at a photo shoot and three classes to teach. I am creating the class schedule for the next four months at The Loopy Ewe and we hope to have it available on the website soon. For crafts I have spent time with Rapunzel and Tony.

With a show coming for Black Friday and Small Business Saturday, I need to get a move on. The Heartistas are also having a market Friday November 7 and Saturday November 8 that my items are at.

Tony finished his first four ounces of fiber.

It is a Superwash Merino/Silk blend from Three Waters Farm. I have to say ounces verses skein because even though it's believed that a bobbin will hold four ounces of fiber, I rarely get it to happen and end up with two skeins.

I have no idea what it will become, and the skeins are currently drying to take final specs on. Next up for spinning, some silk hankies and my Victorian spindles from The Spanish Peacock.

As for me, the week was an unusual one. Emotions were more sensitive and intense, so much of the week was spent quietly. A dear friend is now walking the same path I did nine years ago and while I did not revisit the time, memory of the emotions did. I don't know how she is feeling as every circumstance and relationship is different. My heart goes out to her and her daughter. Yesterday I finally felt like myself again. A good thing to go along with the start of a new month.

Next week! Serra gets to keep plugging away on classes and we need to get her plane ticket to fly back for the holidays. More of the job hunt and the sport of choice is now hockey for Amanda with the baseball season over. Me? A little bit of everything, with a tremendous dose of gratitude. While life is always a work in progress, I've been taking a step back lately to acknowledge and appreciate how far I've come. Breathe, be, grow, let go, Love, don't sweat the small stuff, and I'll be back next week :)
