Getting back

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Looks like it's lake day already today as I have seen several people pass by. The sun is out, and it will probably be hot later which gets people out earlier. Instead of going for the exercise route, I stayed in the kitchen and have banana bread in the oven. It is easier to bake while it is cooler out too.

What have we been up to this week? It feels like Serra has been out and about more than here. She has spent a good chunk of the week hanging out with her friend with a day out together and a long holiday weekend. I hope she has gotten at least a little bit of sleep in between adventures. She'll have a few things to do for the fall semester this week as aid needs to be accepted. I hope move-in plans become available so we can book plane tickets.

Amanda has also been out and about jet-setting this weekend as she flew to Long Island for the holiday. Her newly engaged friends took her to the beach and the city. She flies back today and the task of the summer begins: job hunting. I found a few positions specifically looking for new graduates, so fingers crossed.

We went to the movies as a trio this week and saw Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning. While it was good in some parts, it was terrible in others. There was no reason for it to be an almost three-hour movie and if you are going the see the EIGHTH film in a series you know the other seven and do not need the previous missions pounded into your head. Probably a 6 for me on the scale. As for ranking all of the films? 5, 6, 4, 7, 1, 3, 8, 2.

Crafts this week have been spent knitting a project for work, Serra's sweater and a bit of spinning with Tony and Rumple. The work project needs to be done this week as it gets photographed on Thursday. Serra's first sleeve is almost complete. I also spent Saturday winding warps.

I am wasting too much time not getting things done so it's time to get cracking on making new things and hunting out shows and shops. Each of these five-yard warps will become two scarves.

As for me, it's been a rocky week. My temper has gone overboard on things I have no control over, even though I have desperately wanted that control. Some rage cycling, soul washing and creating have helped. I'm not entirely there yet, it is better. I've been a rock in the river interrupting the flow. It's time to get back to the flow and let the things I can't affect wash away. I have to trust the process.

Next week! A busy one with a two-day shoot, a lesson and class to teach along with getting my head back on straight. Breathe, believe, accept, Love, take it one step at a time and I'll be back next week :)
