Hello November!

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Even more quiet than usual as with last night being Halloween Serra stayed over at a friend's house. Only the second time in the last four years that I've been completely by myself. A little different but something that I'm going to have to get used as the future continues to unfold.
What did we do this last week? My sense of time is very off and not just due to the time change because the snow was only last Sunday!
My little corner ended up with about 10" and we had a snow day on Monday. The district says that they are going to come up with an online alternative effectively eliminating snow days completely. Well I can tell you that isn't going to happen here. I will happily call Serra in excused if they truly end up doing this. Snow days are very rare and either need to be spent outside playing in it or eating comfort food and drinking cocoa. Teachers already are abused, this concept is simply too much.
Crafts were kind of quiet this week. Whenever I finish something it takes a little bit to find the mojo again and jump back into something new. Susan is dressed and Max is now threaded so that is good.
I do think I have my concept for the Masks exhibit so that will begin shortly with Rapunzel. Needed more 60/2 silk for it so I did some shopping. I am a part of the Fort Collins Holiday Artisan Market. It will be running the whole month of November. Not quite the same as being in person but hopefully it will get some exposure for myself and other local artists. You might also notice that there are some new patterns up in the shop! Long Thread Media is adjusting their royalties program and have released the rights to several of my patterns that were published with Interweave back to me. It's good to finally be able to share some of my favorite pieces here.
As for me it was a solid week. I'm trying to adapt to a slower pace and not feel like I'm horribly behind on life, work and creating a future for myself. It's foreign to me to slow down to get somewhere but I guess that is the lesson of the tortoise and the hare, slow and steady right? What am I learning? That sacrificing the ordinary to keep the extraordinary is worth it and that solo quiet time is just as sacred as shared joyous time. As usual it all comes down to b-a-l-a-n-c-e, balance...Cheers Sir Connery.
This week! I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to be doing but I'm sure it will be something! Breathe, be in the moment and I'll be back next week :)
