Hello summer

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! The sun is high and bright outside the patio door already today. The girls are loving the high temperatures and dry heat that are allowing them to dry out from the east coast. I am enjoying the unexpected rainstorms that have been happening in the afternoon. I guess that keeps us all happy on the weather front.

What have we been up to this week? Serra has been having more time out and about with her bestie. No concerts this week, instead a two-night sleepover. We also had our traditional sushi dinner.

Amanda does not like sushi, so we indulge on occasion when it is just the two of us. It was also a new place for Serra, and she approved of her favorite, the spider roll.

Wednesday this week, we headed to Denver to make a pick-up.

Amanda flew back from New York after finishing her time in Rochester. She is going to relax and start the job hunt. If anyone is looking for a brainy kid with a master's in biomedical engineering, let me know. Today also happens to be her birthday.

Craft time lately has been spent making friends with Tony and knitting on Serra's sweater. I thought it would be too big for her, it is, however she proclaims it is perfect. I have started on one of the sleeves.

The Besties Hoodie has minimal finishing, and the sleeves are picked up from the body. I am also getting to use my new Brickhouse Fiber Arts needles. I always said that if a company would combine the Signature tip and the Chia goo cable, I would love it. Guess what? It has happened. The body of the needle is also hexagon shaped making for a more ergonomic grip. I am loving them.

As for me, it was a full week that got a little knocked off routine with some late nights and catching up some sleep. I plan to get back to it this week even though we have plans that will derail it again soon. It is all just a matter of taking things in stride and breathing through them.

This week! Getting Serra to feel better with a bit of a bug. Relaxing and the hockey playoffs for Amanda. Me? All the bits in between. Breathe, smile, hope, Love, ride out the bumps, and I'll be back next week :)
