Randomness

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! It's a quiet morning here in my little corner of the Fort. The sky is blue, the sun is shining, and the grass is green. Not a bad looking day so far. And yes, I am still up early. Having a consistent body clock doesn't allow for much sleeping in!
What trouble did we cause this week? It was a weird one with the holiday. Amanda's friend Sabrina was correct saying that it may be a four-day week, but we are still trying to do five days' worth of work. I couldn't agree more, especially considering I spent the 'holiday' knitting for PieceWork.
Work with a short week meant a big chunk needed to get done. Fall files made it to press and the latest issue of Spin Off was released. My companion project is also available to subscribers. This is the Rambouillet fiber from Greenwood Fiberworks that I had so much fun spinning. I felt like Agnes from Despicable Me, "He's so fluffy, I'm gonna die!" Seriously want some more of the fiber because the squish factor is off the charts.
Life itself was full of randomness with catching up on work, phone calls, a visit with our favorite money man, finishing a copy-editing course and preparing for surgery. If you have been following my ankle situation, surgery week is finally here. How do I feel about it? Waffling between "Do I really need to do this?" and "I can't wait to get my mobility back". Sincerely hoping I don't drive the girls bonkers during my recovery.
Crafts were random also. I mentioned the PieceWork knit that thankfully is small. It is almost at the halfway point. I spent some time on my Little Squirrel mitts that were started on our trip and finished another skein in the Starflower blanket hexie project. I am not going to be able to do much wheel spinning this summer, so Roy got some love on the art batt.
As for me it's been a surprisingly calm week. There are still some things up in the air for this fall with the girls yet I'm not pushing or trying to control it and I am strangely at peace with it. Maybe telling myself to wait until September is working to give myself a chance to keep letting go and to heal physically this summer. Everything is going to be alright.
Next week! A big one. A two-day shoot to prep and manage and then surgery. Here's to it going well and learning what I can do to avoid the same situation in my right one. Breathe, be, enjoy, Love, rest, even if you don't know how to and I'll be back next week :)
