Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Yesterday's forecast said 2-3 inches of snow in the morning. Considering it didn't stop until well after sunset and about 6 inches fell, I think the forecast was a little off. The view off the patio is very white scene as currently the sky matches the landscape. Hopefully the sun will make an appearance today. Friday morning the sky was amazing!

Can you believe this was the view to the WEST?! Absolutely gorgeous!
What did we do this week? With the holiday, Serra stayed snuggled in bed to eat noodles and watch the snow fall. She was so bored on her Friday night that she wrote an entire essay that is not due until Wednesday. Saturday was spent getting a ton of sleep, time with friends and some quiet time to herself. I'm glad her friends understand that she needs that. Believe it or not, she will turn nineteen on Friday.
Amanda started classes on Tuesday and as expected it was a very long day. A six pm evening class that runs for three hours is not her idea of fun, especially when she has no interest in the subject. Good old, required courses. I hope something good can come of it. Also as expected, she adores the Anatomy professor and is looking forward to that class. She has a bit of a leg up on her fellow CMTI students in the subject since she took it in high school. Digital technology made it much lighter for her to take her notes back with her. My college anatomy notes would have required an extra, overweight suitcase!
I spent the week doing some more moving and getting settled into the new place. It's amazing how comfortable it already feels. Some fragile kitchen items, my stationary bike and Serra's sax are all that remain to shift locations. As for unpacking, only one box is sitting here waiting for me to empty.
Crafts have busy been this week! Five new knitters were released into the wild as we completed another Learn to Knit class at The Loopy Ewe. I love that classes have been so popular this year! Another Learn to Knit begins Friday, Fair Isle mitts and a lace shawl class run Saturday. Serra's sweater is still coming along. I am halfway through the yellow section on the second sleeve and have enjoyed working on it in the evenings. I also completed the ply of the Gallifrey spin.

As expected, I wasn't too sure about the barber poling effect the two contrasting singles would have together. I remembered an issue from Spin Off that talked about cabled yarns and have decided to ply this 2-ply back on itself to create a 4-ply yarn. Guess we'll what happens.
As for me, January might finally be slowing down and settling in. Granted it took the entire month! Sometimes that is just how it goes. I was told a couple of times that Fort Collins and Loveland are different, and I think I have figured out how. Fort Collins moves much faster and is almost frantic in nature. Loveland feels just a little bit calmer, a little more mindful. It could also just be me with feeling new and alive again, wanting to slow down and explore each moment. Either way, it feels good.
Next week! More of the same with classes for Amanda and Serra, celebrating Serra's birthday in a unique way with all of us being apart and finishing this move for me. Breathe, smile, grow, Love, step back to feel the moment and I'll be back next week. :)
