Good Morning and Happy Sunday! The sun has come out of the clouds today and is shining brightly through the patio door. I love having nature right outside, even if I scare the bunnies and the geese hiss at me on the trail in the early mornings.
What have we been up to the last two weeks? One highlight was a trip to the movies to see Thunderbolts*. We have been Marvel fans since day one and was looking forward to this one as it has some of our favorite characters. Not only was it a good return to what we love about the films, it had an amazing message that was unexpected. Whoever did the editing for the trailers did an excellent job of it.
With a quieter week at work, we took some time to head over the mountain to see Daddy. He is always glad to see us. We spent a lot of time watching movies and caught up on a couple that we were excited about, Minecraft and The Fall Guy. Both of which were better than anticipated. It's hard to pass up a Jason Momoa stuck in the 80's and an over-the-top Ryan Gosling.
In some ways the trip over to Daddy's was similar to the end of the year Limbo Week. It even fell at the midpoint of the year. While it was good to see him, it was also tough on routine. I didn't realize how much of a difference lake walking has made for my ankle's flexibility and need to keep it up, especially if we go back over for another visit in early August.
As for me, it has been a moody couple of days, I've been pretty hard on myself and need to let it go. I'm hoping getting back to routine and adding more things to it will help. Today will also be spent with my cross-stitch which is a good reset. Winter shows will start looking for vendors soon and I need to get going on inventory. I've had some inspiration lately for dye colors and plan to get some new colorways created and woven. It's time to ramp up and be better in the second half of 2025.
This week! July and the second half are here. A movie, taxi service to the airport, appts and lessons are all on the schedule. Breathe, release, renew, Love, let go of what you can't control, and I'll be back next week :)
