The end of summer

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! It's a quiet day on the lake so far today, not much foot traffic. People are either sleeping in or don't realize how hot the forecast is going to be. As for me, I slept way too much and found a Serra mouse already awake and snacking on muffins.

What have we been up to lately? Serra had a day out with the best friend, and they are planning a sleepover tonight. It will be the last one of the summer as it is time to head back to campus on Friday with classes starting a week from tomorrow. Her week will be spent doing laundry and packing suitcases for her return. In some ways it feels like we didn't have enough time this summer but she is also getting itchy, so it is good to get back to it.

Amanda spent time talking with friends and doing some interview prep. We've sound boarded ideas to possible questions, and she plans to do more research and organizing today. Fingers crossed it all goes well tomorrow.

I spent two days out at a photo shoot with the Spin Off team. The magazine comes out four times per year and most days we are working on various aspects of three of those issues at the same time! I love getting to be a part of all of Long Thread Media's titles.

Not much time for crafting with two very long days out. Serra's sweater is a great big pile on the ottoman and I'm still not happy with the sizing on the socks I started for her with Little Squirrel's Electric Summer color so they will get frogged back a bit again. I have also been accepted to a fall event! HeARTista's Creative Mercantile is hosting their Fall Market October 3-4. Time to get more items made and ready for it.

As for me, it was good week. Time on set and in person with coworkers was productive and reassuring. Life is moving again with Serra heading back to campus and we have been shifting for a positive outcome for Amanda's interview to get life started for her. Fall shows will get craftiness going again and sharing time with friends as we did on Friday always feels good. A coworker was saying 'everything will be fine' well of course that made me think of The Italian Job and what FINE truly stands for. Maybe I need to come up with a positive one for GOOD. Life is good and I'm going to keep at it.

This week! Laundry, packing, best friend time and farewell sushi for Serra. An interview and fingers crossed for good things for Amanda. Me? More of keeping the world spinning with work, lessons and creating. Breathe, grow, shift, Love, keep working on all the good things, and I'll be back next week :)
