Good Morning and Happy Sunday! The sun has risen over the lake as I have been trying to get online for today's news. Silly website loves to be buggy for no reason sometimes. I'm up again early for the international game. While getting up early can sometimes be tough after a late night of sports, sometimes the view outside is worth it.
Monday night's/Tuesday morning's full moon was amazing.
What did we do this week? Serra spent far too much time awake and forgot that this weekend is fall break. Her college takes off a couple extra days right before midterms and the friends all bolted from campus, which in her sleep deprived state, caught her off guard. After a bit of Indian food and a lot of sleep, she is back to being herself again. The extra days will do her good as she is going to clean and rest as a reset.
Amanda finally received her diploma from Rochester this week. She also has some opportunities on the job front happening. She has two interviews this coming week with hopefully another one to schedule. It is taking about a month of turnaround time for companies to respond to her application. Thank goodness she is organized and keeping a spreadsheet of her process. Her Cubbies bowed out of the playoffs last night, so it is on to hockey season for her.
Crafts as usual have been all over the place with time at the marudai, tatting for the November show, knitting on Serra's next sweater and weaving.
I've started an advancing twill for the second half of this warp. The effect from different angles is very interesting. I need to get moving to have more finished items for the November show.
As for me, it was a better week. Life is still a work in progress; however, I'm doing better with the idea that it takes consistency and time. The little things you do every day do stack up and make a difference. I don't think I've learned patience, rather I've learned to stay in the moment and have a great deal of gratitude for where I am and the people that I'm with. Tomorrow will get here at its own pace, and I can make it better by being aware today.
Next week! Lots of down time for Serra as classes are out until Wednesday. Two, possibly three interviews for Amanda that hopefully start to bear fruit. Me? More of hanging on and taking the steps to create more. Breathe, believe, rest, Love, be here, and I'll be back next week :)
