Time warp

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! I am a little slow today after sleeping in an extra hour after the weekend alarm. Yes, I have an alarm on the weekends. While I do enjoy sleep and love being in bed, time is better spent awake to enjoy life. I've had an interesting view of time lately, some days it feels like there's not enough years remaining and then sometimes the weeks feel incredibly long, as this one did. Was Sunday really only a week ago?! That's what the calendar says.

What did we do in this incredibly long week? After a slow start flying back to PA, Serra made it back to college with flying colors, including getting kidnapped at the airport by her friends. The week has been spent settling back in, starting classes and getting a new work schedule. The area also received about six inches of snow Friday night, so the three-day weekend has been spent staying cozy. Campus life starts back up in earnest Tuesday morning.

Amanda has been enjoying hockey and football while impatiently awaiting an update on the job. Fingers crossed the hiring manager has some kind of news for her this week. She doesn't want to start the hunt again but it's hard to have all of the eggs in one basket with as slow as they have been to make any decisions. Maybe jumping back into the hunt will get them moving.

Craft time has been busy this week with more hexies in the pile, another bundle of fiber started on Tony, and threading Rapunzel for a pair of scarves.

This is one of the Tencel warps Amanda and I dyed last summer. I wanted to get something back on the loom while the 60/2 silk project percolates a little more. Classes have also gotten off to a great start at The Loopy Ewe. We started a lace class Wednesday evening, released three brand new knitters into the wild Friday afternoon, and started socks and a brioche cowl on Saturday. I hope the classes keep getting such a great turnout. If you are local and have something you would like to see on the class list, please let me know.

As for me, it was a busy week catching up from being out at a photo shoot for the day job and teaching four classes at Loopy. Even with all of that we got to Wednesday and had to say, "What do you mean, it's only Wednesday?!" I'm sure I should enjoy the extended feeling of time while it is here because when you stop looking, it tends to speed up again. Haven't had enough of the days I truly wish could last forever of late and hope for them to appear again soon.

Next week! Enjoying the rest of the long weekend for Serra before things get rolling on Tuesday. More patience for Amanda and hopefully hearing something positive from the equally frustrated hiring manager. Me? A little bit of everything as I have the time for it. Breathe, smile, glow, Love, soak in every moment, and I'll be back next week :)
