Writer's block

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! There's a definite chill in the air today signaling that winter is on its way. Didn't get the weather the forecasters thought we would this weekend which I'm glad of but you can tell that it is turning.
So! What did we do this last week? Have to admit to a bit of writer's block this morning because it was a very quiet week. Rapunzel is threaded and work has begun both on the loom and mentally for the Masks project. A lot of times with projects like this I think through it as much as I can before taking up any action. So many times when I would compete at the Grand National Wedding Cake competition I would wake up in the middle of the night, build a portion of the structure in my head and then go right back to sleep. Thankfully I would remember what I had done in the morning! This project is similar. I can mostly see what I want it to look like in my head so now it's creating it. I've got two weeks to get it done. Amanda is home safe and sound from most of her first semester of college. She still has the next few weeks to take care of online but she loves New York and being out there to learn. I have been so impressed with Rensselaer and how they have handled having the students on campus.
One thing I did do this last week was celebrate my birthday!! My birthday has been a mixed blessing in its own way the last few years but I think this one was completely mine again. I didn't mourn this year and I don't know if that makes me a bad person or if I'm living again and doing it in my own way for me. Not quite a mid life crisis rather a mid life renewal. I can handle this thing called life and work to get to a place for me.
This week! Obviously weaving for the Masks project along with picking up a few items that will be needed to finish it. I realized this morning that I will need to get all of the supplies earlier than expected as we are locking down again. Not much of a change for us as we really have not gone anywhere since March. It's a good thing we all like each other. Breathe, be safe, take care of you and I'll be back next week ;)
