Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Yes, I am up early, even before the dear sun today as I decided to make a batch of croissants for the Steelers game in Paris. Silly? Probably but enjoyable and tasty as well. I have a tray rising on the counter and will be freezing some of the dough already shaped to have later on. One of the tricks I learned from my bakery regeneration. Fall colors are in full swing on my morning walks and are absolutely gorgeous. I’m taking them in while they last.

What were we up to this week? Amanda spent time out on Long Island and in the Bronx learning patience. Distance and time do not match on the east coast like they do here in Colorado. She especially enjoys working with her mentor, TJ as he lets her get her hands dirty so to speak. He talks her through the repairs and lets her do them which is what she likes. The next week and a half will be spent at another training session so she will be chauffeured around instead of having to deal with New York traffic.

Serra had a good week of relaxed classes and meetings with her advisor. Registration for spring is already here, and she has her remaining classes spaced out where she only has two ‘difficult’ ones each of her last three semesters. Her cells for the new lab class are growing, and she made liquid cultures for her yeasties. Saturday was Fall Fest on campus and she got to hang out with both besties. The off campus bestie will be back on campus in the spring after her leave of absence and I know the three of them will have a great time.

Crafts this week were the usual weaving, spinning and knitting, Slow progress is being made on the Blue Steel colorway Rapunzel is working on. Rebekah read somewhere that working with 60/2 silk is like working with thread the size of human hair! I guess that gives you a good idea as to how thin it is. I finished piling a spindle spin of New Zealand Merino and taught myself entrelac during game 2 of the World Series.

I don’t know why I haven’t tried the technique before because it is so much fun! It will be a new class at The Loopy Ewe after the turn of the year. I will be getting the calendar set and into the shop this week to be added to the website. They are already getting asked about the next set of classes which is great news for me!

As for me, it’s been a good week. I had some time to rest and play, have been working on projects for work and got the car maintenance taken care of. Other than the scale going the wrong direction, I feel good. I have plans percolating for the new year and will be getting started on that soon. The coming full moon is saying to release and let go and I’m feeling it. There are things in my life that I have no control over that I normally let get to me, not anymore. I’ll take care of the things I can control and not stress myself about the ones I can’t. It feels good.

Next week! A full moon, the time change and the last week of October. Smooth travels to Amanda today, and good growth and no contamination to Serra. Me? More of everything most especially, living. Breathe, stretch, expand, Love, take up the space you belong in and I’ll be back next week :)
