Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Seems I have a proclivity for having a tree outside of my bedroom window. I knew I would miss the old tree I took care of at my previous place and am delighted to still have one here. This particular tree is a blooming one and exploded with white flowers this week. I hope the temperatures stay even and the blooms stick around for a while. What did we do this week? Serra had a great start to the week with a bumpy finish. Another stomach bug grabbed a hold of her Wednesday. It sounds like it is improving as she kept down her homemade soup of potatoes, onion and kale last night. I hope...
Good Morning and Happy Sunday! I think Mother Nature may be feeling better from her hangover. The last two days have seen a combination of snow, grey skies and sunshine, not necessarily in that order! Today the sun is shining, and the sky is blue. Maybe spring is here to stay. What did we do this week? Serra had a good week with plenty of takeout, extra sleep and good study time. She spent time with friends and made soup with her favorite pepper from Flatiron, I Can't Feel My Face. This stuff is made from four of the hottest peppers and while it is good, it doesn't take much! Thing is, Serra has a much higher heat index than...
Good Morning and Happy Sunday! The sky is not as bright as it has been of late outside the patio door. Instead, it is a touch softer as the sidewalk is wet from rain so far today. It's better than snow if you ask me! Mother Nature must have been feeling generous as we did not get our usual two to three feet over spring break. Maybe the rain is her way of balancing things out. What have we been up to this week? Serra has been playing catch-up with work she missed being sick. It sounds like she is back to her bright and shiny self which I'm glad of. She and her roommate went roller skating again and...
Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Looks like the sun is going to shine upon us again today in NoCo. I'm not going to say the 'S' word that we somehow avoided receiving over spring break as we usually do. Sometimes just saying the word this time of puts Mother Nature in the mood to share some with us. What did we do this week? The girls had a rough one. Dear Serra spent the majority of it in a DayQuil haze sick as a dog. I love that she is at a smaller college where she knows the professors personally. A couple of emails Monday, a bunch of catch-up work Wednesday and it sounds like she was back to her...
Good Morning and Happy Sunday! There is a pastel blue sky out the patio door and people already traveling around the lake either headed somewhere or getting their steps in. Crazy to realize the time change was only last week! I am not accustomed to so much light in the evening. The time change has made for longer days and given me some pretty spectacular views in the morning. What were we up to this week? The extra daylight made for a full one! Serra joyously welcomed her friends back to campus and was happy to get back into routine. She and her current roommate plan to live together again next year as they have a blast together. Yesterday they...
