Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Yes, I woke up at six am on the dot and decided to stay awake. Days still belong to summer and nights belong to fall. Maybe that will change soon. The skies are a lovely pastel at the moment. What did we do this week? Amanda is learning a big part of adulting. The longer the meeting, the less necessary the information you gain from it. Classes are chugging along, and she is off for her fall break Monday and Tuesday. Her plan is to get ahead on her work as next weekend is a trip to Long Island to hang out with her friend. Serra had a very short week with her fall break...
Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Later than I wanted to be this morning as the cooler night temperatures have led me to indulge in sleep. I intended to get out of bed at five this morning to have some more time. My body and mind said no. I guess I needed two nights of nine hours of sleep. What did we do this week? Amanda had a bit of ear drama. The new one we purchased a couple of years ago decided to stop working. After an adrenaline-charged search around the house, I found the previous model and got it shipped to her priority style. Three days of not hearing everything had to be a different experience. She is going...
Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Mother Nature can't seem to choose a season here in my little corner of the Fort. Nights belong to fall and are blissfully cool making snuggling into the blankets a happy event. Day still belongs to summer with high temps, shorts and air conditioning. Fingers crossed it will cool down at some point. What did we do this week? Amanda had the joy of dealing with her groupmates that don't understand what a deadline is along with presentations on their project ideas. She hasn't said much about it yet, so fingers crossed it went well. We do get a giggle out of the audioelectronics professor continually forgetting his hearing aids for class. Rover's mama also...
Good Morning and Happy Sunday! It is finally cold in my little corner of the Fort and according to the wet cars outside it rained a bit too. The moisture wasn't only from the sprinklers startling me in the wee hours after an extremely weird dream. I was lucky to go back to sleep and clocked a good nine hours last night. Another unusual thing. This week belonged to the cats and dogs with the girls. One of Amanda's housemates has a therapy dog for her diabetes. Well, said human went on an overnight trip without dear Rover and it sounds like the poor dog has separation anxiety. Most of Friday and Saturday Rover was glued to Amanda. It's a...
Good Morning and Happy Sunday! I love how cool it is in my little corner of the Fort at this time of day. Now, we just need the afternoons to join the party! I am more than ready for long sleeves and cuddly blankets. Mother Nature might have other plans. What did we do this week? Classes are plugging along for the girls, and they are wondering when things are going to get difficult. Amanda did finally get some good feedback on their project from the director so hopefully that relationship can improve. Yes, she didn't go to UR, she does know her stuff. A little bit of homesick caught up to Serra this week. Being praised for things that...
