I think summer isn't quite over yet during the day but nights are giving me a good taste of what is on the way. This week! It was a bit of a wild one. We got Amanda off to the airport crazy early one morning and she finally got settled the next day in her new dorm. After a day and half of more Calculus mentor training and finally meeting the two other bridge scholar mentors in person I think she's getting settled in. Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Fall might be slowly sneaking up on us in my little corner of the Fort. Days are still hot but nights are cooling off and getting that bite to them. I enjoy it because the chill makes sleeping so much better. What did we do this past week? Even though the temperatures say summer, fall events are in full swing. Serra had a great first week of school with meeting new people in English class and getting up early to take care of some Algebra homework. What have we been up to the last two weeks? Lots of little things and relaxing as much as we can before life kicks into high gear again with school starting tomorrow! I am also glad that what was supposed to be an insane amount of rain yesterday stayed away and we were able to enjoy the races last night. What did we do this week? Serra has enjoyed her last week of July and sleeping in. We made a deal a couple of weeks ago that I would not wake her up until August. She has been sleeping late and enjoying it. Good Morning and Happy Sunday! I am enjoying unexpectedly cool temperatures at the moment. I know it's summertime but it would be nice if it was not blazing hot today. What have we been up to this week? Serra has been having more fun with hair dye changing up her colors yet again. She also started an online driving course to start working on her license. Yes it is scary but she will also be 16 in January so I guess it's time. Amanda has survived the two week intensive calculus teaching and made a couple of new friends along with it. Over the next four weeks she will hold office hours to continue helping the students and keep them...
