Gratitude

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! The sun was very bright through my window this morning shown by the multiple rainbows bouncing on my walls from the prisms in the window. It would be nice to have a gentle, peaceful rainstorm today. Especially after the booming anniversary storm last Thursday morning. It reminded me of the storm that swept through Spring Creek and the university; wild to think the CSU flood was 25 years ago. What did we do this week? Serra got to join the ranks of those free of their wisdom teeth. Her lower two were impacted and growing sideways instead of up. Everything went well and I had the hardest time ever trying not to laugh at her...

Staying in the moment

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Cool and quiet so far today as even the birds are not singing. Just as I had my own thunderstorm to cool the edges of my temper last week a wonderful set of showers washed through the area yesterday to break the heat. Here's hoping for more rain today. What have we been up to this week? Serra finally received a box of puzzle cubes that I ordered from Puzzle Master Inc. It contained a starlike skewb, a 4x4x4 octahedron, and kilominx. It took three days to finally solve the three of them with the octahedron being the most difficult. Now that she has them figured out, they will join the other seven cubes which...

Lots of heat

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! I am enjoying the cooler temperatures so far today. It would be wonderful if it would stay this way all day. My weather app says otherwise. I may not be able to affect the outside temperature but maybe I can get my temper to cool down. Lately, it has matched the heat outside. What have we been up to this week? Serra is working on enjoying as much of the summer break as she can. Her current pursuits have been sleeping in, Animal Crossing, Shark week viewing and puzzle cube solving. We have done a bit of driving and she now has PT exercises to do daily to help with her hip. She has roped...

Hello July!!

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! It is just plain hot already today. Here's hoping a pile of wet hair on my head will help keep me cool. July showed up all of sudden, didn't it? What have we been up to the past couple of weeks? The last week of June was quiet and spent preparing for a trip! Every year when the major league baseball schedule gets released, we review it. When will the Mets and Cubs each come to town to play the Rockies? Are there any other teams we want to see? Are there any interesting matchups? This season's treat was the Red Sox traveling to Wrigley Field to play the Cubs. From two different cities, off...

A slippery slope

Good Morning and Happy Sunday! You would think from the birds singing outside and the sun shining behind the clouds that nothing in the world has changed, when it reality everything has. I have spent the past two days trying to process the court's decision on Friday, to get passed the sinking feeling in my stomach. So far it has not gone away. What did we do this week? Serra received three of the four new puzzle cubes that I purchased for her and has already conquered them. If I mix all seven of the cubes it takes her about forty-five minutes to unscramble them all going at a comfort pace. She has no interest in speed cubing as the...
