Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Soaking in a bit of the quiet this morning and breathing. I would love to say that I accomplished a ton of craft pieces this past week but I can't. As anticipated the news of Amanda's college move in information was the pebble that started the avalanche of activity. Travel plans have been made, items packed and lists made of more needed items once we arrive. It's wild to think that this is going to be her last week at home for a while but this is also exactly what she is supposed to do. One chapter ends and another begins. I did get some craft done this week. Time was spent with Susan and...
Good Morning and Happy Sunday! I think I can truly say that last night was the worst night's sleep ever had over the last few months. But the sun's up so I'm up and still here. Guess the good thing is I get to try again tonight. What was our crafty household up to last week? The studio is open again! I had things partially packed up as the room is also where Daddy sleeps when he comes over and I was anticipating a visit. Susan finished up another piece and got dressed with some gold tencel for some more. I'm going to release the Autumn collection that she has been working on at the Equinox, September 22 so come...
Good Morning and Happy Sunday! Or really what I should be saying is: We're back! It seems that June appears to be our time of travel. Last year we made our college visits out to Chicago and New York. This time around it wasn't quite as exotic but was still a good trip. A bit of history. In 2013, Daddy had a heart attack and spent a week in ICU recovering and having a pacemaker installed. The batteries in pacemakers at that time would last approximately 7-10 years. Well at Daddy's last checkup the readings said that his was getting low and it needed to be changed. The girls and I loaded up and headed over the hill to visit...
Good Morning and Happy Sunday Internetland! Little late with talking today as I slept in but considering Sunday is the only day that happens and I normally get up at 4, 7:30 isn't the end of the world. Maybe I'll just blame it on the cooler temperatures and a new fluffy throw pillow. Amanda is sleeping off a 14 hour day of Marching Band yesterday and Serra is recovering from ingrown toenail surgery so I see the morning being quiet. Lots of finishing was happening this week and all four of my regular looms are naked. Yes people rampant nudity is happening here. I'm being silly, when you put a project on a loom it is called "dressing the loom"...
